Homeopathic Acne Treatments

Acne is a problem that many people have to deal with.  Although it is usually thought of as a problem for teenagers, acne can plague a person for years, from puberty well into adulthood.  Even if the acne itself does not continue past the teen years, the scars that are left behind can be very noticeable, and can cause a person to feel self conscious about his or her appearance.

One option for acne treatments is always to use drugs as a cure.  Prescribed ointments, creams and washes can effectively subdue acne outbreaks and scars, but they can be expensive and are full of chemicals that can hurt the skin.

Another choice that is gaining popularity is the use of acne alternative treatments.

One herbal remedy is Neem, which is a tree in the mahogany family. Neem is used externally to treat skin diseases, as it helps to detoxify the blood system and also helps to boost the body’s immune system.

Guggul resin is another treatment for acne.  This resin possesses strong disinfecting properties and allows the skin to become cleaner through declogging of pores.  It also helps boost the body’s white cell count, which helps the immune system to fight off acne and the infections that can occur because of it.

Haemafine syrup is another great product to use, as it helps to purify the blood of toxins.

Fighting acne scars is just as important as fighting acne itself.  Using dried orange peel with a little water and rubbing the mixture over the skin, circulation in the face can be increased and dried scabs can be removed, which will help prevent scarring.  Garlic paste that is applied to pimples can help to reduce scarring, as it will soften skin and get rid of acne without harsh backlash.

There are many remedies for ridding oneself of acne and the scars that it leaves behind. Using homeopathic acne treatment can save the hassle of prescriptions and costly medicine.  Plus, there is an added benefit of actually improving the quality of skin with herbal remedies, as many of these treatments will promote healthy skin, such as proper oil levels and unclogged pores.

Bad Acne and the Sun

Who doesn’t like to enjoy a day out in the sun?  Everybody loves great weather and it’s a welcome event when summertime finally rolls around.  But if you happen to suffer from acne then you will know that you have to be careful in the sun.  In fact, everyone in general has to be aware of skin care basics when it comes to sun exposure.  The sun can take a heavy toll on your face and lead to complications in the future if you are not careful.  When it comes to acne, the sun can actually work to make your skin oily are or more susceptible to damage.

One of the trickiest things about acne and sun care is finding a good sunscreen that won’t clog your pores.  Acne sufferers are very familiar with that icky feeling of putting on a sun screen that is oily or greasy.  It just doesn’t feel right and acne breakouts are sure to follow in the future.  Luckily, there are more cosmetic companies creating skin care products with sensitive skin in mind while also offering sun protection.  Instead of looking for a product that comes from a straight sunscreen manufacturer, look for a cosmetic brand that also offers sun protection.  You will also find that some of the best acne products today have sunscreen elements as well.

Obviously you aren’t going to isolate yourself inside your basement and stay out of the sun completely.  So be smart about your sun exposure and try to shade your face when you can.  Also give yourself a break from time to time and don’t stay out in the sun for an extended period.  Remember to drink a lot of water since you will most likely be sweating, and wash your face well when you come inside.  The number one problem you will have to worry about is dry skin and that can develop due to sun exposure or dehydration of skin cells.
