Although there are a large number of grains in the market, quinoa has become a popular selection at health food stores and many grocery stores organic section. It is considered as a complete protein food due to nine types of basic amino acids. Its significance also increases due to the lightness of the food and the easiness of cooking. You should also consider adding it to your diet because of the nutrients it has like vitamin B, potassium, zinc and vitamin E. All this quality makes quinoa suitable for the title “Mother of Grain”.

In fact, this grain is free of gluten/wheat and is a relative of spinach and chard.  It thrives in lifeless regions with a low quality soil. It seems supernatural that this plant has the ability to produce seeds containing a high amount of protein and nutrients despite the fact that it grows in such harsh conditions. Instead of having a slight bitter aftertaste (which may be removed by washing properly before cooking), it still remain as one of the first choices to use as cereals or grains due to its unique flavor and nutritional value.

The procedure to cook quinoa is same as that of rice or other grain. Fried vegetable with rice can be a good quinoa recipe. It can be made more tasteful by adding salt and sesame seeds. You can find quinoa recipe in the web. It usually take fifteen minutes to prepare the food in an easy manner. You can eat a large amount of it which is yummier than your daily health diet.

So…it’s the time to proceed in making quinoa. You won’t regret for that. This will also be a good experience for them who have given up their former health diet. Best of luck….
